I am Heather Guz, MA (Threads Counseling) and I can help:

I believe that everyone deserves a safe space in which they can be heard. I also believe that each person contains core strengths and abilities that have allowed them to survive through struggles they have encountered. By tapping into these core strengths, one can connect to a very powerful form of healing.

I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Saint Martin's University and have experience with crisis intervention, challenge course facilitation, group facilitation, and one on one work. I am currently under the supervision of a Washington State Department of Health approved supervisor and am in the process of working towards becoming a full LMHC.

At Threads Counseling I focus on working with teens and adults. I draw on a variety of methods including person centered, existential, and solution focused therapy. I enjoy incorporating artwork and metaphor into my work.

I believe that each of us is an essential piece of the world community. Together, our individual threads create a beautiful tapestry.
