Chris possesses extensive training in the fields of individual psychotherapy and marriage and family therapy. Experienced in the treatment of anxiety and depression, he has provided counseling services for both men and women for over twenty years, helping them overcome these sometimes debilitating issues. Chris has further assisted families with adjustment and life transition issues, including counseling blended families and the bereaved. A licensed clinical social worker, Chris is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers and maintains a Qualified Social Work credential. Chris is also an ordained minister with the American Baptist Churches USA and has specialized training in neuro-linguistic programming and is exercised in pastoral and spiritual counseling.

Graduating with a Master of Clinical Social Work from Norfolk State University, (1989), Chris also holds a Master of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary, (1984) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rowan University (1979). Chris further received post graduate training in the field of clinical psychology from The Southern California University of Professional Studies. He is currently a Doctor of Ministry candidate at Knox Seminary.
